Mr. Robin has been leading popular corporate seminars, conducting workshops and inspiring groups since 1985. More recently, he has given keynote talks, chaired conferences on renewable fuels and biodegradable products, conducted seminars on commercializing advanced renewable materials, sustainability reporting, and Balanced Scorecard. Mr. Robin has recently been appointed sustainable business committee program chair for the Sustainability Academy, a 501(c)3 “public benefit” organization. Daniel Robin is founder of the Sustainable Quality Awards (www.ecoquality.com/sqa), co-sponsored and endorsed by the area Chambers of Commerce, American Society for Quality, Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (and the City of Santa Monica in Southern California), and the Small Business Development Center. More than 40 organizations have received recognition through this program, bringing together diverse industry leaders and building awareness of the value of an integrated “triple bottom line” approach.
As a volunteer with the Sustainable Business Institute (San Jose, Calif.), Sarris led a team that developed the first-ever "Seal of Sustainability" program to recognize businesses that implement integrated sustainability practices. She also served two terms as an elected member of the Board of Trustees of Schoolcraft (Community) College in Livonia, Michigan. She is the co-founder and past co-chair of the Monterey Bay Branch of the U.S. Green Building Council and is a LEED Accredited Professional. She currently serves as an appointed memer of the County of Santa Cruz Commission on the Environment. Sarris earned a BA from Michigan State University and a MA from the University of Michigan.
In 2006 he was assigned to be in charge of opening the new Baltic Sea Solutions office in Palo Alto, California. His work in California focuses on establishing trans-Atlantic cooperation bewtween local governments, research and business around renewable energy development. Prior to joining Baltic Sea Solutions, Anders worked as a researcher in Canada and the US. His research was primarily focused on corporate social and environmental responsibility in global supply chains. He also did research on international agricultural trade policy, Global Commodity Chains, and rural poverty in Asian and Africa. Anders joined SustainabilityWorks in 2007 and brings experience in GRI and sustainability reporting, speaking and training. |
